Murri School Garden

We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Aboriginal and Islander Independent Community School (AKA The Murri School), Northey Street City Farm, community supported agriculture organisation Food Connect and others in a major project to develop a Permaculture garden for the school and local community.
The project aims to provide fresh organic food for the school tuckshop. Community allotments, nursery, composting, aquaponics and a bush tucker trail are all part of a food production system which will also act as an extension of the students' classrooms through an integrated Permaculture curriculum.
However the food garden design is also part of a holistic site design and ongoing strategic planning process undertaken by the school community to improve indigenous health and employment outcomes and promote healthy lifestyle alternatives in the community.
If you would like to take part in this project please contact us here.
